When shooting in a street:
- Preset your camera to f/8 , 1/250 sec and Auto iso – This is an old adage of documentary and street photographer knows as (f/8 and be there)
- Always keep your camera switched on disabled it’s sleep mode and keep your finger on the shutter button at all time
- Try to blend into the crowd, try hard not to look like a photographer.
- Use a small camera with wide angle lens
*Shoot in RAW + jpeg to give yourself more post production options when it comes to dialling up the B&W tonal and contrast or to add color depth.
*Before raising the camera think carefully about sharp composition , bold, big, simple shapes and drawing lines to ewpesize your subject.
*Light meter your subject well, use multi-area metering to get a good accurate exposure. If necessary use the fine tune compensation nailer + – to produce extreme black and white tonal range.
*If you are interested in small internet street photos try to shoot during early morning or at night when there are only fewer people around.
*If your camera setting allow it set your view finder or the LCD screen to monochrome to help you see the composition without the distraction of colors
*When taking street portraits (street portraiture) try to be friendly and confident, most people will let you take photos of them as they will be flattered and intrigued. After shooting the get their contact details and send them an email with their street portrait.

3.Pick up a color of the day and shoot only people and objects with this color in your city street.
4.Shoot street scene as view from mirrors and reflections.

6.On a clear sunny day get up early in the morning or go out in the late afternoon and shoot only silhouettes in the streets.
7.Try to find Juxtaposition situations, contrast two elements in an image which opposed to each other.
