Rafael have been a photojournalist and war photographer for over a decade in Israel and the middle east.My work often was involves documenting the human cost of war in Israel, including the suffering of Israeli civilians and the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers. I have documented the armed conflict between I Israel and the Muslim Arab world surrounding it. He was an eye witness in to the Israeli disengagement from the Gaza Strip in 2005 when the Israeli government dismantle all 21 Israeli settlements there and created refugees camps for the evacuated settlers. Rafael has photographed hundreds of Palestinians rocket attacks with casualties and property damages in Israel state.He has documented terror attacks on Israeli civilians and many military operations of retaliation. Rafael documented the first day that the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was captured by Palestinian militants in 2006 in a cross-border raid via tunnels near the Israeli border till the day he was return back home in 2011 from captivity as part of a prisoner exchange deal. In 2006 he documented the Lebanon War between Hezbollah and Israel.
