Rafael Ben Ari photojournalist war photographer memories Living near the Gaza Strip conflict zone, life took a different turn. What began as proximity became purpose. I soon found myself documenting terror attacks on Israeli civilians—camera in hand—stepping into the chaos as a war photographer. For nearly a decade, I worked on the front lines, photographing war and conflict as they unfolded. Every day, I carried not only my camera, but the weight of scenes that never truly left me. My work was published in major Israeli newspapers and global news agencies, taking images that helped shape how the world understood Israel’s reality. I risked my life countless times to capture the truth. To show the human stories behind the headlines. To reveal what it means to live in a war zone.
