Documentary Travel Photographer Workflow

Production:

  1. Find a photography subject or place of interest.
  2. Visualize your photos before getting the location. 
  3. Choose the equipment to achieve the images you desire to portray. 
  4. When you at the subject or place of interest look for color, shape and form.
  5. Consider what angle best shows the subject.Can you find also a unique angle to show it?
  6. Get out your camera and consider what you need in order to create the image.

      > What focal length do you need?

      > What Lens to use to show best your images?

      > What Sutter speed needed to control motion?

      > What is the white balance will render color best?

      > What exposure will keep bright areas whiteout loosing details?  

Post production:

> Backup your raw images on hard drive.

> Download your images to a computer into a folder by name and date

> Select your best images

> Edit your your photos if needed

> Back up your new images

> Write accurate image description and keywords 

> Up load your photos to your website, clients or photo agencies.
